Early access
No route to draw the account before the statutory retirement age, at a reduced amount, was found in the law. This page explains why two other provisions can look like such a route without being one.
No such route was found
We read every provision in the Funded Pension Law that touches access to the account balance, and no route exists to draw it before retirement age at a reduced amount. That is a finding from reading the law, not a promise that it will never change.
Two different things that can look like one
Permanently leaving Georgia. The law lets a participant withdraw who permanently loses Georgian citizenship or residence. This is not an age-based route — it triggers at any age and is tied to leaving the country, not to retiring, so “early retirement” is the wrong label for it.
Disability status. A separate, optional route unrelated to the ordinary retirement age, and not covered in detail in this section.
What this means in practice
If you live in Georgia and keep Georgian citizenship, there is no route in the law to full access to the funded pension account other than waiting for retirement age — see the retirement age page.
